Flavio Pereira de Oliveira has announced the availability of the first release candidate for Goblinx 2.6 "Standard" edition, a Slackware-based distribution featuring five desktop environments and window managers: "The GoblinX Standard 2.6 RC1 is released. GoblinX Standard is the original edition, first released at the end of October 2004. It includes five window managers: KDE, Fluxbox, Xfce, Enlightenment and WindowMaker. Main upgrades since 2.0/2.5: upgraded all packages; upgraded Linux kernel (2.6.21.3), Aufs, linux-live scripts and Squashfs; rebuilt Magic Center to add new features and to use with different windows managers; rebuilt GoblinX hard disk installer; added more graphical interfaces; corrected and upgraded some scripts; removed Beryl; Compiz and Mesa are included in a separated module.
