Ubuntu 8.04 Alpha 6

Steve Langasek has announced the sixth alpha release of Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron": "Welcome to Hardy Heron Alpha-6, which will in time become Ubuntu 8.04." Some of the features of this release include "X.Org 7.3 with a new screen resolution utility that allows users to dynamically configure the resolution, refresh rate, and rotation of a second monitor; kernel based on 2.6.24.3 bringing in significant enhancements and fixes that have been merged in the last few months into the mainline kernel, PulseAudio enabled by default; Firefox 3 Beta 3 replaces Firefox 2 as the default browser; additional memory access checks so that /dev/mem and /dev/kmem can only be used to access device memory...."
